This is the best place to start for those who want to learn to surf.
Perfect for families and friends that all want to learn to surf together and enjoy surfing!
At the beginning of each lesson, our coaches will give you all the information you need to feel safe before you even get in the water. We teach you about waves, rips, potential hazards, and surf etiquette. Techniques on how to carry your board, attach the chop, paddle into a wave and stand up. Once in the water, we will help you with wave selection, balancing on your board, and standing on waves. We will be with you every step of the way to make you feel safe and get the best advice to give you a high quality lesson.
The school guarantees quality teaching with special attention to safety. The surf lessons will be planned daily by the surf instructors, taking into account the weather conditions.
All instructors are qualified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation.

INTERMEDIATE
ADVANCED CLASSES
Max 4 Pax with the same level for Teacher // 2Hours
(with a minimum of three students)
These classes are perfect for those who prefer a more social setting.
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of four students per instructor.
But whenever possible, we’ll separate groups by skill level to help everyone progress together.
*Prior evaluation of conditions of the ocean and level of the student required for this practice.
*** In Blue Ocean Surf School, what is an intermediate student?
1. They must have been surfing for, at least, one year with constant practice ;
2. They must use boards below 7’0’’ feet;
3. They must be able to duck dive;
4. They must get out to the green waves by themselves;
